There is a pressing need to empower and encourage more young women to get involved in politics, says Wanita MCA national chairman Wong You Fong.
Wong said that the party’s women's wing would look into ways and plan suitable programmes to attract more women, especially those who were 30 and below, to join the party.
"We do not have that many young people in the women’s wing. Maybe only about 20% of them are 30 and below while the rest are older.
